Partiremo da Palermo alla volta di Colombo e sulla scorta dei suggerimenti dei Tamil palermitani inizieremo il nostro viaggio che ci porterà a visitare le zone nord e nord est dello Sri Lanka, aree in cui si è concentrata storicamente la maggior parte della comunità.
Poiché non si tratta di un itinerario turistico e preconfezionato ma letteralmente costruito dai Tamil, abbiamo bisogno di una mappa istantanea, interattiva ed aperta.
Ciò permette ai nostri interlocutori di aggiungere autonomamente e anonimamente i landmark sui luoghi che ci consigliano di visitare con la possibilità di descriverli, includere fotografie o audio.
Permette a noi "viaggiatori" di indicare ulteriori luoghi proposti dai Tamil durante gli incontri avvenuti a Palermo nel mese di luglio.
In un modo più semplice e immediato possiamo così costruire e condividere il nostro itinerario "in fieri".
Per raccontarlo, invece, utilizzeremo un diario.
We are travelling from Palermo to Colombo following the suggestions made by the Tamil community. Our journey will take us to visit the North and the north-eastern part of Sri Lanka, areas where historically has been concentrated greatest part of the community.
Since it is not a tourist and pre-packaged route but literally built by Tamils, we need a instantaneous, interactive and open map.
This allows our interlocutors, the Tamils, to add independently and anonymously the landmark on the places that they recommend us to visit with the chance to describe them and to add photographs or audio files.
It allows us, as "travelers", to signal more places suggested by Tamils during our interviews that took place (in the flesh) in Palermo in July.
In a more simple and immediate way, we can thus plot and share our journey "in the making".
To tell the story of this travel, however, we will keep a diary.
